Fire drills are conducted monthly. All children and staff will practice the evacuation route so that in the event of a real emergency, everyone knows exactly where to go.
The evacuation plan is posted in each room of the facility. All staff are trained on the use of fire extinguishers and the location of all emergency equipment. Smoke detectors are tested regularly.
In the event of an evacuation, children will be accounted for by name before and after leaving the building. Parents will be notified as soon as it is safe to do so.
