Injury Prevention
Indoor and outdoor play areas will be checked daily for safety hazards. All play equipment and supplies will be checked weekly for safety hazards. Medical Emergencies Minor Emergencies: In the event of a minor medical emergency, minor first aid will be administered and the incident will be logged in the child's file. A parent may be notified if the injury is serious enough, otherwise parents will be notified when they pick up their child.
Major Emergencies: In the event of a major medical emergency, 911 will be called immediately. Appropriate first aid or CPR will be administered. Parents will be notified. In the event the parent cannot be reached, the designated emergency contact will be notified. The incident will be logged in the child's file. Immunization records will be sent to the hospital with the child. The incident will be reported to DSHS. |
