Reporting of Child Abuse
The State of Washington requires that, by law, childcare providers are mandatory reporters of suspected child abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse or neglect. If it is suspected that any person picking up a child is intoxicated, another authorized person will be asked to transport the child. If the individual still insists on transporting the child I will be obligated to call 911 to notify the authorities. I will not physically prevent a parent or person from removing the child from care, but I must report my suspicion that a child may be at risk. |
